Introduction

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was established in the year 2019 at Sakthi College of Arts and Science for Women, Oddanchatram. The policy adheres to the guidelines of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in order to foster Quality Culture, Ethics and practices in the functioning of the institution. The IQAC takes the pivotal position to plan, organize, monitor and evaluate the enhancements in different spheres of college activities, molds and enriches the academic excellence through continuous improvement aligning with the Vision, Mission and Objectives of the institution.

IQAC Procedure & Scope

Ensuring quality standards in academic and administrative processes

Procedure

The IQAC of the college is constituted formally as per the NAAC guidelines with the composition of the members designated by the management and the Principal. The tenure of holdings regarding the positions of each member is usually for three years. Renewal and replacement of members will be constituted as per the discretion of the management abiding by the guidelines of the Parent University and NAAC.

Planning & Policy Formulation

The internal quality assurance cell formulates the annual plan by integrating and collaborating with stakeholders. It ensures the integration of quality policies across all academic and administrative units.

Implementation

The Department Heads execute the quality initiatives under the guidance of the IQAC cell. The quality standards and their parameters are continuously monitored periodically through report reviews and meetings as per the work schedule.

Scope

The policy pertains to all clusters of the college including academics, administration, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. It ensures maintaining a quality standard framework in curriculum design, teaching-learning process, research, outreach and extension programs, institutional governance, and women empowerment.

Review and Evaluation

The IQAC conducts internal and academic audits and analyzes feedback to enhance institutional effectiveness in alignment with NAAC accreditation criteria.

  • The Academic and Advisory Audit (AAA) will be submitted to the IQAC desk annually (April–May).
  • The Green Audit will be submitted to the IQAC desk annually (April–May).
  • The Finance Audit will be finalized under the supervision of the management annually.

Reviews and Amendments

The policy shall be reviewed every three years, or amendments will be done based on NAAC guidelines and institutional needs, with approval from the governing body and IQAC members.
